    Rewards Network

TL;DR: Stack more rewards on top of your credit card with a Rewards Network partner If you’ve read my posts from over a year ago, you’d know I once recommended Idine, which gives 5-10% in credit in certain restaurants around your area. It’s pretty passive, and still comes recommended. However, Idine is part of a much bigger network of programs called the Rewards Network. There’s a lot of different programs (you can only hook up each of your cards to one of them). To note, almost every major airline/hotel has a program with these guys. Recently I’ve noticed that Idine credits are slow to accumulate and can easily expire year…

    Hooch

TL;DR: Hooch is another app like Drop, or Pei that pays you for spending with their partners. Hooch is another phone app (like Drop, Pei, Dosh) that gives 1% back on purchases with major brands such as Domino’s Pizza and Starbucks. You can redeem your points for gift cards and other rewards. If you live in one of their partner cities (including New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco among other major cities), there are even more opportunities to find partner restaurants/bars/merchants to earn rewards and redeem rewards in food, drinks, and travel. The rewards system is in TAPcoin, which is a cryptocurrency. You can start with $5 here. Happy Hooch’ing!…

    Replacing the Uber Credit cards

TL;DR: Uber card benefits changed, and we can replace it with the SavorOne card or the Wells Fargo Propel. Uber changed its reward structure: 5% back in Uber credits on Uber rides, Uber eats, and JUMP 3% back in Uber credits in food and travel no $50 subscription bonus anymore 🙁 The biggest disappointments are no 4% back in restaurants anymore, and all credits are now rewarded as Uber credits rather than cash back. This has prompted a lot of people to ask me what the best replacement cards are. As far as I’m aware, to cover the restaurant category with a similar no annual fee card, the best choices…

    BBVA Clear Credit Card

TL;DR: BBVA came out with a new credit card that offers 3% on a category of your choice. It’s implied on the website that you can have a choice of virtually any 3% category you might need. Not bad, though I have to admit I personally haven’t tried this yet. Something to look into! Shoutout to my friend Blair for finding this. Happy Clear’ing, TheJKW P.S. Ask for your $$ back

TL;DR: Don’t be afraid to ask for $$ back when you want to dispute credit card charges. For the most part, it seems like most cards put 0 liability on consumers for charges they aren’t responsible for. Definitely when there are fraudulent charges, you have to contact your credit card company to help you out. But if you also simply feel like a business short-changed you on some aspect, like if they overcharged for something or promised you a different service, call the company. If they’re no help, you can call your credit card company and sometimes they can dispute it for you. Citi double cash is especially fantastic about…
