Rewards Network

TL;DR: Stack more rewards on top of your credit card with a Rewards Network partner

If you’ve read my posts from over a year ago, you’d know I once recommended Idine, which gives 5-10% in credit in certain restaurants around your area. It’s pretty passive, and still comes recommended.

However, Idine is part of a much bigger network of programs called the Rewards Network. There’s a lot of different programs (you can only hook up each of your cards to one of them). To note, almost every major airline/hotel has a program with these guys.

Recently I’ve noticed that Idine credits are slow to accumulate and can easily expire year over year, and they also require you to give them feedback for you to collect your rewards. So I changed over to American Airlines. It’s not bad at 3 pts/dollar spent, which is roughly equates to 4.5% back. It boosts up to 5pts/dollar after 12 purchases. Most airlines give around this value.

I’d recommend you search up your most used airline/hotel company and see if they have a similar program, and if you’re looking for something more passive, maybe switch on over to one of those.

(Note: it seems like in general airlines give more value than hotels).

Happy Rewards Network’ing!
