Getting way more 5% categories

TL;DR: Eh, going to make you read this one.

So, there’s a bunch of credit cards that give 5% back. For no fee credit cards, that’s essentially the best rate you’re going to find.

The problem is, it’s always in some specific category, or rotating categories. You’re never going to have 5% back on all categories.

Or are you?

US Bank is a card where they have a bunch of 5% categories, and you get to choose two every quarter. They’ve got some pretty good ones, I’ve chosen ground transportation (Uber, Lyft etc) and Movies.

But I can’t choose them all. So here’s the secret. I called in, and they said you can apply again and get another card.

Just don’t go crazy getting too many and ruining your credit score.

Shh, seems like a not well-publicized thing. And keep in mind, things may change.
